Overview
The BD 11 is designed for the detection of burst or ESD current pulses within a cable. It helps identify the causes of sporadic or intermittent errors in electronic systems. Compact and easy to handle, the burst detector is highly sensitive and continuously adjustable.
The BD 11 detects the magnetic field generated by burst currents. Detected interfering pulses are indicated via LED on the detector and can be output as signals to evaluation devices through a relay contact (potential-free) or via optical fiber (e.g., for recording or emergency shutdown of the controlled system). The pulse range is approximately 100 ms. The BD 11 also includes memory for captured events.
