Overview
The RF Screen Room Test Kit is a service tool which has been designed to determine if the enclosure provids adequate shielding effectiveness. It consists of two main components - a transmitter and receiver. The transmitter is a low power, fixed frequency, crystal controlled transmitter operating at 60 MHz. The receiver is the mated crystal controlled receiver.
The acceptance criteria for shielding effectiveness as determined by the test kit has been set at 50dB, for example 52dB is acceptable but 49dB is considered unacceptable. Shielding level approaching 50dB or less indicate an excessive RF leaks are present in the shielded room.
