Overview
The SY 9223 Profibus balun adapts a symmetrical signal to a coaxial line. Usually twisted pairs with an impedance of approx. 120 ? are used to transmit the Profibus signals. The SY 9223 Profibus can be applied to use an existing triaxial wiring.
The symmetrical side has a screw terminal and the unsymmetrical side has a triaxial BNT-jack. The SY 9223 Profibus can be mounted to a DIN 50022 support rail with 35 mm base. Other housings and connectors are available upon request. When needed the outer braid can be connected to ground on pin 2 of the screw terminals.

To transmit video signals using twisted pair cables the balun can be used in the other direction, too.
