Overview
Schwarzbeck UHAP Precision Dipoles 300 - 1000 MHz.
Schwarzbeck VHAP General Hazards
The following general safety precautions should be considered when working with antennas:
- When not in use, antennas should not be kept at a height where head- or eye injuries may occur.
- Antennas at maximum mast height might be a danger in high winds or with cables hanging down to ground.
- Observe the danger of stumbling over cables!
- Prevent Antennas from falling down!
- Avoid staying directly below mast and antenna!
- Keep safe distance to power lines!
- Do not use antennas during thunderstorms, lightning hazard!
- Check the protection eafth connections of the used equipment!
- Attach localdanger notices.
Schwarzbeck VHAP Electrical Hazards
Test Antennas for emission measurements (RX applications) do not generate any hazardous fieldstrength. For immunity testing and intentional generation of high fieldstrength the relevant emission and safety standards of the respective country must be considered (e.g. DIN VDE 0848).
Schwarzbeck VHAP Fieldstrength (Transmit)
The generated fieldstrength level can be estimated (free space propagation assumed) using the following equations.
F = 134.8 + gi + 10 log P -20 log D | |
Fieldstrength Level | F [dBµV/m] |
Power into matched antenna | P [W] |
lsotropic Gain | gi [dBi] |
Distance | D [m] |
F=104.8 + gi + p - 20 log D | |
Power into matched anrenna | p [dBm] |
