Artificial Mains Networks (AMN's)

(Showing 12 of 17)

How AMNs work

  • AMNs supply power to the device being tested, called the equipment under test (EUT)
  • AMNs stabilize the impedance, inductance, and capacitance of the power supplied to the EUT
  • AMNs filter out unwanted disturbances from the mains
  • AMNs couple interference voltage created by the EUT to a receiver
  • AMNs protect the mains from disturbance voltages created by the EUT

When AMNs are used

  • AMNs are used to test electrical power lines
  • AMNs are used to ensure clean power is transferring to the EUT
  • AMNs are used to eliminate electrical anomalies during EMC testing
  • AMNs are used to test voltage class B components in electric and hybrid vehicles

The EMC Shop stocks a pelethera of artificial mains networks for EMC testing accoring to CISPR 25 and other automotive and EV standards.

Artificial Mains Networks are used interchangeably with Line Impedance Stabilization Networks (LISN's) and are used to ensure clean power is transferring to your DUT to eliminate any electrical anomolies while performing EMC testing.
