Returning Rentals

Rental Term and Billing

  • The rental clock begins when shipment leaves our facility and ends when it arrives at our dock.
  • 2-Days grace are given to allow for transit. Credit applied upon equipment return.
  • Our system will automatically invoice every 30 days (or 7 days for daily rentals). No notification is required.
  • Missing items or damage beyond normal wear and tear may be billed.
  • End of Rental (EOR) Confirmation Emails with an invoice summary of your rental is sent once the equipment is received and inspected.

Returning your equipment

You are welcome to keep the test equipment as long as you would like. You will be billed on a daily prorated basis after you have fulfilled your original term. When you are ready to return your rental, please return the equipment to the packaging it arrived in and ship it prepaid (if the shipment arrived via freight, return via freight) to the address listed below:

Shipment Insurance

Customer is responsible for equipment until such time that it is accepted in our facility and processed through inspection. It is not required to insure return packages, however The EMC Shop will not be liable for any damages in transit. If insurance is preferred you may request the dollar value of the equipment via our contact form or insure the package for the value of company’s insurance deductible.

Upon receiving your test equipment, IMMEDIATELY

  1. Compare packing list with the contents of the shipment.
    1. If any discrepancies are found, contact The EMC Shop immediately.
  2. Unpack the box(es) and inspect the equipment for damage.
    1. If damage is found, contact The EMC Shop immediately.
  3. RETAIN Packaging for Return Shipment.
  4. Set up and ensure that test equipment performs adequately for the required purposes.

For technical assistance during your rental term, please provide the following information to sales@theemcshop.com, your sales representative, or via our website

  • Photos of your test setup and equipment interface, including software setup menus
  • A full description of the problem/question being encountered
  • Reference to a page in the manual or test standard to inform the technician of your progress thus far
