New Equipment
Manufacturer Warranties range from 1 to 3 years. Length is usually determined by the complexity of the instrument as well as the cost. Expensive equipment such as high power amplifiers will typically have a 2 or 3 year warranty. Where passive RF devices such as EMC antennas are only 1 year.
Used Equipment
Determine the remaining life of used test equipment can be tricky. The industry standard is typically 90 days in the event of equipment failure. The EMC Shop extends that to 100 days, but more importantly, does their best to help customers out of a tough spot if the equipment hasn't been misused or abused.
Rentals & Leases
Rental situations vary depending on the nature of the test and the role The EMC Shop has in a full test system. Typically, the EMC Shop will overnight replacement equipment once an applications engineer has reviewed the issues a customer is having and took steps to troubleshoot.
