The EMC Shop is not proactive when it comes to selling off equipment that has lived in the rental fleet. The life expectancy of the equipment is much longer than what we've come to expect with most electronics. We evaluate the condition of the equipment, how well it performs as a rental asset, then determine if we can present a fair and reasonable price that customers will appreciate. Utilizing the same formula, customers utilize creative financing terms to get good test equipment fast with a minimal monthly payment, not impacting cash flow.
