Overview
The Chroma 62050E-230 is a high-precision programmable DC power supply designed for demanding test environments requiring 230 VDC output, 22.5 A current, and up to 5000 W of stable power. As part of Chroma’s 62000E Series, this single-channel 5 kW model delivers advanced measurement accuracy, fast transient response, and low output ripple—making it ideal for high-power component testing, automated test equipment (ATE) integration, and industrial power simulation.
The 62050E-230 supports constant voltage (CV) and constant current (CC) operating modes with seamless priority switching, providing users with reliable control under dynamic load conditions. Its high-speed transient response (<1 ms) and auto-sequencing capabilities enable complex programmable test profiles suitable for validation, burn-in, and lifecycle testing.
With optional APG, CAN FD, GPIB, USB, and LAN interfaces, the 62050E-230 integrates easily into automated test systems. An intuitive touchscreen interface allows quick configuration without external control software.
For high-power applications, multiple 62050E units can be configured in master/slave parallel operation up to 20 kW, supporting large-scale testing scenarios. The supply accepts 1-phase or 3-phase AC input (200–240 Vac) and offers high operating efficiency with low thermal output.
Engineers use the 62050E-230 for EV component testing, semiconductor device characterization, aerospace power simulation, DC-DC converter testing, industrial power system development, LED/laser diode drive testing, and renewable energy module production.
