Test Equipment

OVERVIEW

Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) test equipment is used to evaluate the electrical conducted or wireless performance and integrity of any product, from automobiles to furniture.

Most of our customers are designers, manufacturers and researches, utilizing equipment for precompliance product evaluation.Typically used in the middle and end stages of product development, EMC testing is also overlooked and not an issue until it is ailed at a compliance lab like TUV or UL.

The EMC Shop has a unique assortment of test equipment in stock, offering economic and non-bias solutions as well as setup support.

IS PRECOMPLIANT EQUIPMENT DIFFERENT FROM COMPLIANT EQUIPMENT?

In some cases yes, in some cases no, the difference could just be the calibration level. EMC test labs require all test equipment used to have accredited calibrations according to ISO 17025, which provides measurement uncertainty.

COMMON CONSIDERATIONS

Depending on the sophistication of the engineer or team. It is common to approach acquisition of test equipment via EMC testing standards. Smaller outfits make be looking to do general precompliance testing to get an idea how close they are to passing a certification effort.

Customers may want to match the equipment used by their EMC test lab or stick with a manufacturer they are familiar with or is reputable. Common manufacturers used in North America include Keysight, Rohde & Schwarz, Com-Power, Amplifier Research, 3ctest, Teseq, ETS-Lindgren, EMC Partner, Fischer Custom Communications, PMM and AE Techron.

ORDERING EQUIPMENT

Custom configurations and orders with multiple items are reviewed for compatibility and in some cases, set up to ensure functionality.

Test labs expand capabilities or configure complete/custom test setups for rental customers, quick start guides allowing them to setup out of the box hassle free.

Order online for same day shipping

We strive to achieve the goal of same day shipping, but;

Purchases of multiple pieces of equipment, large equipment, and pre configured or programmed test systems ship within a few business days.

Rentals are prioritized and typically shipped the same day it is ordered. Equipment is inspected and if necessarry, calibratred before shipment.
