Overview
The 3ctest HFRR Series High Frequency Radiation Loop is designed for radiated immunity and interference testing in accordance with NECA TR-28. It is used to generate controlled high-frequency radiation fields for evaluating the susceptibility of electronic equipment to transient and pulse disturbances.
The HFRR loop is typically paired with a high-frequency noise simulator to produce fast-rise pulse radiation fields with wide pulse width ranges and rich spectral content. This allows engineers to simulate real-world electromagnetic disturbances caused by switching events, inductive loads, and relay operations.
The EMC Shop customers use the HFRR Series to perform sensitivity testing on electronic devices, particularly when evaluating performance under high-amplitude pulse conditions. In a typical setup, the loop is positioned near the equipment under test (EUT) while connected to a compatible pulse generator, enabling repeatable and controlled exposure to radiated interference.
With multiple loop sizes available, the HFRR Series provides flexibility for different test setups, ensuring consistent field generation for both laboratory and diagnostic EMC environments.
