Overview
The MRL0.5 high power, 0.5 Ohm, resistive load, is a precision measuring resistor used inline while calibrating the RF conducted disturbances system while testing in the audio frequencies. Installed in series between a power amplifier and a Helmholtz coil, it enables accurate indirect current measurement.
The voltage drop across the resistor is proportional to the current through the coil, allowing engineers to calculate current using standard measurement equipment. This makes it suitable for EMC testing such as MIL-STD-461 CS101 and ISO 11452-10.
Its low-inductance design ensures reliable performance across a wide frequency range, with calibration data provided from DC to 200 kHz. It also serves as a protective load, helping stabilize the system and protect the amplifier, especially at low frequencies.
High power resistive load for system measurements according to low frequency conducted susceptibility tests such as CS101, CS109, ISO 11452-10 and DO-160 Section 18
