Overview
The 3ctest TYXH 06400 Helmholtz Coil Magnetic Field Simulator is designed to generate uniform DC and low-frequency AC magnetic fields for EMC immunity testing applications. It operates over a frequency range from DC to 30 kHz when used with an appropriate signal source and compensation network.
The system provides a large test volume with excellent magnetic field uniformity, making it suitable for evaluating the immunity of electronic devices to magnetic field disturbances. It is commonly used in EMC laboratories for compliance testing according to relevant magnetic field immunity standards.
The EMC Shop customers use the TYXH 06400 Helmholtz coil system to generate controlled magnetic fields during EMC immunity testing. In a typical setup, the device under test (DUT) is placed within the center of the coil pair, where the magnetic field is most uniform.
A signal source and amplifier are connected to drive the coil, generating DC or low-frequency AC magnetic fields based on the test requirements. Engineers then monitor the DUT’s performance to evaluate its susceptibility to magnetic field disturbances and verify compliance with EMC standards.
