Overview
Pearson Electronics' patented distributed termination technique permits pulse-current monitoring of rise times as short as two nanoseconds. The current sensor devices of larger inner diameter make possible high voltage current measurement without the risk of voltage breakdown. They can be connected to oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, power analyzers, digital voltmeters, analog-to-digital converters, and a variety of other measuring instruments.
The Model 3464 Wideband Current Monitor is capable of accuracy ±1% or better, initial pulse response, a high impedance load such as 1 mega-Ω in parallel with 20 pF. A 50Ω termination will reduce the output to half. The Model 3464 comes with a BNC connector except as noted and are to be used with a 50Ω coaxial cable. The monitor's case is conductive and not insulated. Adequate insulation must be provided on the conductor being monitored. To avoid electrical shock, do not mount or remove the current monitor from a live conductor.
The Pearson Electronics 3464 Wideband Current Monitor is in stock and available for same-day shipping on rentals. The EMC Shop is an ISO 17025 accredited calibration lab. Calibrations are available upon request (allow 1-2 additional days).
