Overview
PU-CRAM composite absorbers combine a carbon-loaded, fire-retardant polyurethane pyramidal foam with impedance-matched ferrite tile in a single panel — pairing the low-frequency advantages of ferrite with the high-frequency performance of broadband foam absorber. The result is reliable performance from 30 MHz through 40 GHz with faster, easier installation in EMC test chambers and compact shielded enclosures.
Pyramid tips can be factory-truncated (shaved down) to recover 2.5–8 inches (65–200 mm) of interior depth per enclosure wall with minimal absorption loss — recommended for compact shielded enclosures and chamber doors.
Features
- Hybrid ferrite + foam construction for broadband performance in compact chambers
- Three pyramid heights (300 mm, 500 mm and 1000 mm) for wall, ceiling and door coverage
- Single-panel composite format drastically cuts install time on anechoic chambers and shielded rooms
- Suited to 3M, 5M and 10M radiated EMC testing — emissions and immunity
- Typical reflection loss: 15–20 dB (below 10 GHz), 25–35 dB (10–40 GHz)
- Fire retardancy: DIN 4102-1 B2, ISO 11925-2 E, UL94 HBF, NRL 8093 I, II, III
Models
| Model | Pyramid height (standard / truncated) | Base size |
|---|---|---|
| PU-CRAM-P300 | 300 mm / 240 mm | 600 × 600 mm |
| PU-CRAM-P500 | 495 mm / 400 mm | 600 × 600 mm |
| PU-CRAM-P1000 | 1000 mm / 800 mm | 400 × 400 mm |
Mounting & Installation
Neoprene contact adhesive is recommended for installation. Velcro can be used to fasten absorbers under 500 mm in height, and white polystyrene end caps are available as covers for a clean finished appearance.
